Teleporters
How do they work?
What are teleporters?
First and most importantly, teleporters are glowy and spin around. But did you know teleporters have another purpose? (Hint: they can teleport you.)
But how do they work?
Easy! Ever mail a letter? Pretty much like that.
Think of the teleporters like mailboxes, and you're the letter.
When you interact (F) with a teleporter you'll see a menu with two codes you can set. The top code is like the return address on your letter. That's the address someone would use if they want to reach you. The bottom code is like the recipient address on that letter. Whatever teleporter you want to visit, enter its address there.
Got questions?
What are those arrow things above the teleporter's addresses?
The top number shows you how many teleporters are pointing to your address. So let's say this teleporter's address code is . The green arrow to the right shows you that one teleporter somewhere in your world is pointing to .
The bottom number shows you how many teleporters share the address you're pointing to. So, if you're pointing to and the number is 2, the teleporter will take you to one of those two teleporters.
What happens if I leave one of the codes blank?
Blank is an address. It's the same as or any other address - it's just blank!
What if more than one teleporter uses the same code?
Hard to say. If you try to teleport to that code, you'll end up at one of those teleporters, but no telling which one.
I wandered into a teleporter at the exact same time as a BossHog and I fused with it to become a grotesque mohawked porcine abomination. Help!
Uhhh.... gotta go!
